Find Out More

To find out more about the Christian faith we recommend the Alpha Course.

What is the Alpha course?

Alpha is a low-pressure, fun and informative course. It is a place to relax, share your thoughts and explore the meaning of life. The course is designed primarily for people who don’t go to church, but are interested in the Christian faith.

The course consists of people meeting together and watching a series of DVD talks. The sessions look at topics like ’Who is Jesus?’, ‘Why did Jesus die?’ and ‘How can I connect with God?’ After each talk there is time for people to discuss in small groups what they have just seen.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha guests attend for a wide variety of reasons – some want to investigate whether God exists; others are concerned about what happens after death. Some people have particular questions that they would like to discuss; others want to understand other peoples’ beliefs or would like to explore what the meaning of life is.

Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.
